1930s Sailor Top in Navy
Rock the nautical look so favoured in the 1930s! We are so excited to bring you this amazing limited edition sailor top which has been inspired by an original photograph from the mid 1930s - we experienced so much joy designing and making this little vintage beauty!
The nautical/sailor styles were emulated throughout the 1930s as part of a rise in sporting or leisure wear when we saw the emergence of the lido. This was seen in bib front sailor trousers and also in blouson styles which you will see throughout our 1930s collection. However, this top is a whole new level!
We've added extra detail to give this stunner some extra oomph. Note the sailor neckline with contrast ivory trim, rope tie in both navy and ivory with tucks into a tab at centre front. Blouson style with fitted waistband - top is deigned to finish around the natural waist to flatter and can be worn with any of our natural high waisted separates but looks particularly smashing with our matching navy culottes.
This fab top has been created in natural cotton/rami fabric which has a similar feel to linen. Has 4 ivory side buttons to fasten but adjusts to fit via the shirred elasticated area at the back.
