Following the super responses we had both for our 20s Dolly dress and the Ruby Bloom print - we decided to give our 1920s fans a new dress option in our most recent collection.

The Nellie dress is similar in style to the Dolly but with a longer sleeve making it the perfect transitional season dress. Following a journey down late 20s fashion rabbit holes - brought in the centre front drop tie so common in styles of this period. 

A very versatile, wearable and flattering style, this dress bridges two distinct periods of design - the distinctive flapper style drop waist of the 20s but paired with the pin-tuck detailing at the waist and flowing bias skirt of the early 30s.

After thoroughly researching the late 1920s and early 30s, we designed a dress with the classic limited shaped bodice with french dart into the bust, drop waist to fit on hip and skirt has fullness to flatter. The long bishop sleeves have fullness towards the end of the sleeve rather than the sleeve head (as researched) and gather at the wrist.

To highlight the style features, we have included contrast binding at the drop waist, neckline and centre front neck drop tie.
