30s Front Pleat Skirt - Olive Herringbone
Another addition to our wool herringbone co-ordinated separates series. This 1930s skirt again has been inspired by many sources to bring you that elegant and willowy 1930s silhouette. Part of our new 'Country Lady' separates collection
We have taken inspiration from photos and catalogues from the mid to late 1930s - to bring you a sophisticated and authentic 1930s style skirt with a touch of the outdoor vibe so popular during this period.
High waisted, slim fitting skirt is cut on the bias for fit with a front centre inverted pleat. Close fitting on the waist and hip, skirt flares slightly from the knee area onwards to the hem. This creates the slight fish tail effect so typical in mid 1930s fashions. Inverted pleat mirrors the pleats on the matching jacket.
High waist style is super flattering and has belt loops so that you can nip the waist in further with any slim belt or wear without.
Skirt is made from a wool blend and is lined in acetate

I love my 30s front pleat skirt and ordered another one in the brown as they are now a staple in my winter wardrobe. Perfect for work or weekend trips, they are warm, flattering and very high quality. A perfect winter skirt !
I was excited to receive this skirt and it did not disappoint.The colour is a soft olive green with the fabric being a nice light weight.I love the high waist and the belt loops and I’d say it’s true to size.The only thing I’d change is for the lining to be longer,it’s too short meaning the fabric does cling to your legs when walking.Its expensive but there’s nothing else around like it so I’d say it’s worth it,I’d also like it in the other colourway x
I purchased this skirt and the matching jacket and the wait to have them made was absolutely worth it! Fit like a glove and so beautifully made. The fabric feels nice and although somewhat thick it was still light and has nice movement. I wore the skirt with the Bonnie Blouse and felt absolutely transformed! So glad it has belt loops and the hook and eye fastener at the back. :)
