Our ever popular Americana Jacket in Brown herringbone weave wool blend.

A practical yet elegant 1940s style jacket based on the American deadstock jacket from the wartime. We have been inspired by the best bits and enhanced...

An indispensable jacket for any 1940s enthusiast - creates a VERY 1940s silhouette with its strong shoulders and nipped in waist where jacket body blousons over.

Goes beautifully with our Sailor or Swing Pants and 40s Whirlaway Skirts. Jacket is made in wool blend olive green herringbone weave and we have enhanced the style with top stitching on buttonholes, collar, centre front & waist. Lined.

The other key 40s features are the bishop style sleeve with button cuff and the classic 1940s style collar.

Key features:-
- long sleeves with smoke shell button cuff
- 4 large shell buttons
- 2 front pockets with top stitch detail
- fully lined in our viscose satin
- outer fabric is mid weight wool blend

Length of jacket from back of neck to hem - approx 47cm
Length of sleeve from shoulder seam - 62cm

Excellent Quality!

One of the best jackets I've ever owned! Quality is excellent, the fabric and tailoring are gorgeous, feels lovely on and had lots of compliments. I had to size up, typically a 12 in HoF but the 14 fits great. Definitely recommend

good quality

I've been eyeing up this jacket for a while and finally gave in now the Shetland brown was back in stock. Gives a very 1940s look, good quality and not itchy at all. Good length too in the body and sleeves even though I'm tall (5ft 10). I sized up to allow a thicker cardi and long sleeve blouse to be worn underneath and its perfect.

Such a great quality well tailored jacket and looks great with everything. Even though it’s made in wool it is not itchy at all. Colour is fabulous too and perfect fit.

The cut is flattering

My size was sold out and I had to wait until a new shipment came in.. and I’m happy I did! The tweed wool is beautiful and the cut is flattering. I love the tight waist!
