Design is 1940s inspired with some creative licence thrown in. The neckline and sleeves have the most detail being gathered and top stitched in several areas to create a lovely demure sweetheart neckline. This is a very authentic 1940s neckline that flatters the bust and creates a stunning silhouette.

Dress has loose sleeves that gather into the shoulder and button cuff - you can easily move the covered button for fit.

Gathered under the bust - this flows into the V shape waist panel and has a stunning figure enhancing effect. 

By popular demand, we have made this in a longer 'midi' length - approx 91cm from waist which makes it float into formal occasions easily. This 7 panel skirt has a lovely sweep and is designed to finish above the ankle on most - wear with your best shoes! We've kept this dress unlined to keep the overall weight down - you may choose to wear a slip underneath.

Has a V back with back zip for ease.

The fabric is a mid weight 100% rayon (viscose) and as such gathers beautifully into yokes and under bust - is similar to the fabrics worn at this time.
