The quality is great and the color is beautiful! Overall Im very short/ petite but I am on the bigger end of the small- bust 36 and waist 27- but still opted for the small bc I like things to cinch in the waist. The overall fit of the cardigan was great for me, however it does not stay fastened at the waist on me without reinforcement from a safety pin or brooch. I can pull the belt all the way through the ring and get a great cinched in waist, but as soon as I let go, the belt immediately loosens and even slips all the way out of place. Like I mentioned, a well placed, hidden safety pin can fix the issue but it takes away some of the functionality making it no longer a cardigan I can just throw on and off when out and about. I still love it and am even considering getting another color, same size- just wish the belt would stay in place without added reinforcement.

I fell in love with the datemaker cardigan the first time I saw it on the HOF website and I bought one immediately, this is my second one and the sizing is quite different from the first one, it is very much bigger, in fact it is really a size too big for me, but I love it so much especially the egg plant colour so I will try to adapt it as best as I can. I know I will get lots of wear out of it especially as I live in Scotland and I wear 1940s trousers a lot so this will look great with most of them. I have also decided to buy the matching knitted beret to go with it.
